- Putting pillow between your legs can help the lower back and hips to take off the tension.
- Find a mattress with the hardest bed, but then choose the one that is less harder than that. Make sure it is firm, but not the firmest one.
- Using a pillow that fills the spaces in between your head and shoulder. This will allow your neck to keep its neutral position and not bent in one direction or another.
- Heating pads, even a non-electric one can increase the risk of skin burns. So avoid using it if you can.
- If it helps your back and you feel comfortable, use pillow top or egg crate on the top of your mattress.
- Maintain a good sleeping routine. Make sure to get enough sleep so your muscles could get a chance to relax and it will also help you wake up feeling refreshed.
- Consult your doctor if you continue to be bothered by your back pain every time you sleep. Ask about other treatment options like physical therapy and medications.
